I have decided to start my own business from HOME and want help with a company NAME that will go on the side of my delivery van an adverts
I will only be offering flowers for funerals like crosses, hearts, names spelt out with flowers you know the kind of thing I mean
any help with a NAME welcome
Funeral florist (business name) needed?
Well I was thinking you could go with Angels Flowers.I think that it is fitting for what you plan on doing.
Reply:I would not limit yourself to funerals only. If you get other requests, if you dont do them, just charge a high price and they will go elsewhere. Funeral is kind of a dark word. Necessary, but dark.

Childhood Is Now Over By Age 11 could this be true?
http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,3...
After reading this comment from a mother I am gob smacked that a school would allow this to happen, if true it is spectacularly ridiculous.
I have an 11year old daughter and on valentines day she came home from school in complete misery because she had been teased for being the only girl in year 6 who didn%26#039;t have a boyfriend. The school had actively allowed expensive presents, delivery to the school office of bunches of flowers etc etc for 10 and 11 year olds.
Childhood Is Now Over By Age 11 could this be true?
I did hear something like that on tv yesterday. i think its awful, but it is i think a lot to do with advertising, kids magazines, and the parents.
to the person who said she %26quot;grew up%26quot; at 10, then all i can say is that i did enjoy playing with my Sindy doll when i was 12 or 13. we were much more naive those days, but are better off for it nowadays.
my 9 year old grand daughter came to my house last week and told me she had a boyfriend and she was going out to play with him after tea. i told her he wasn%26#039;t a boyfriend, but a friend that is a boy. she was insulted indeed, and insisted he was a boyfriend. They are hearing all this at school, and they are not %26quot;with it%26quot; if they dont have a boyfriend. My daughter found a text on her phone ( which she only gets when she is out for safety reasons) from the boy saying he loved her and she had replied back, i love you too.
i despair, honestly!!!!
i played with boys when i was her age but it was just all friends together, which is all she is doing, they go out to play and then meet up with friends, or sit in her room listening to cd%26#039;s. Just what she is doing with her female friends.
i would hate to be a kid nowadays
Reply:been like that for years not new news to me or my wife
Reply:Well that is a little wierd but in general, yes, I%26#039;d say I grew out of childhood at around 11 or twelve and that%26#039;s the way it should be...none of us need to run around playing dolls and chatting on the phone about boys instead of with them when we%26#039;re still 15 or so.
Reply:I dread to think how this world is going to end up, and what our kids will have to endure in there lifes
Reply:It%26#039;s true in some places. Where I live it%26#039;s true, and the infant and junior schools down the road are testiment to this. The kids are so unhappy.
My daughter goes to school where this isn%26#039;t true. It also isn%26#039;t true in the place I grew up in, we visit there and the kids are normal.
This does happen in some places, but again it%26#039;s media making it crazy. If you don%26#039;t want your child to be like this, don%26#039;t raise them like this. If you read the article, it says how the parents actually encourage it - letting them do stuff, not having proper control. They are choosing to let them have make-up and stuff. I saw a 6 year old yesterday with a mobile. The parents allow the child to reject dolls at 6. I wouldn%26#039;t allow it. I play with dolls with my daughter. We play together, with dolls.
The parent controls what the child becomes....not society.
I feel sorry for you and your daughter. The school down the road from me is like this. They gave eachother love bites, the boys held the girls down (that%26#039;s as much as I know - there is more I bet), and it%26#039;s an infant school. They were in year 1 - 5 and 6 years old. I put my child in a different school. If I was you, I%26#039;d think about it.
Reply:yah !!!!! its over at 10!
Reply:Don´t know what kind of school that was. Wouldn´t happen where I work.
Last week I was away on an overnight field trip with forty six 10 and 11yr olds. I was stunned to find a group of girls putting make up on for %26quot;the night time%26quot; and amazed to see that the contents of their make up bags were superior to mine!
It was face washed and straight downstairs!
Reply:I thought school was for learning NOT receiving bunches of flowers, which no doubt the kids parents sent/paid for anyway.
Schools should be turning away such deliveries and rules on uniform etc should be much stricter.
I despair of my peers!
Reply:wow that%26#039;s crazy.
Here they just give little cards and candy!
But they also have a policy if you bring something you have to bring enough for the whole class!
Reply:well, that happens at my school all the time. we are all a little older than 10 and 11 but what can i say. it isn%26#039;t like the 1950%26#039;s anymore. back then it would be considered a crime to do something like that, but now in the modern time, well, its just like that
Reply:thats sad, my own grandson always does well on valentines day, this year he got 17 cards, hes only 2, valentines day is his birthday,
Reply:I agree, but I think its youger than 11 though.
Reply:It seems to look that way, girls as young as 13 get their eye brows waxed, but they are not street wise! (WELL NOT ALL OF THEM)!
Reply:Sadly, childhood is over long before age 11 for some children - and it%26#039;s all down to us adults (directly or indirectly)
Reply:They must have no sensitivity at all to childrens feelings if that happened to her daughter. The schools and government and media are all at fault for this situation for their usurping of parents authority and technology for providing the means. Internet and mobile phones seperate children from their parents, they can talk to their friends all the time and have no time for activities with parents and so they get their values from their peers (or older kids they meet on the net), which are all about growing up and having the latest thing. Also some parents are happy to let the media and their peers dictate their lives and not let them be children sitting them in front of the telly because this society says mothers should work and full time motherhood is not valued. Its very very sad. I feel sorry for kids nowadays.
Reply:It is absolutely tragic that our childrens%26#039; childhood is being stolen. There are so many years ahead for make up, boyfriends etc but the childhood years are so short and precious.
I really think that there is a very sinister agenda here and parents really need to wake up and fight it. What sort of education system teaches its schoolchildren not just about homosexuality at age 11 but also that it is okay to have sex outside a stable relationship. More broken homes then, more lost, unhappy children of the future. It is downright wicked. By the time they are 20 they will look 40, tired and used.
A poster has said that it%26#039;s grooming. It sure is and it is time that parents woke up to that fact.
No wonder our children are the unhappiest in Europe.
PS Shouldn%26#039;t the NSPCC be looking at what%26#039;s going on in our schools?
Reply:Yikes. I%26#039;m only 23 and things have REALLY changed from when I was a kid.
People wonder what%26#039;s wrong with kids these days, but I have to wonder, what%26#039;s wrong with some PARENTS these days?
When you don%26#039;t teach your kids morals, or discipline, or to have self-respect, how do expect them to turn out?
Reply:State sponsored grooming. This country is run by some truly sick people. Children are no longer allowed to be kids. Why DO children have to be introduced to the concept of homosexuality at 11 years old? If you can%26#039;t work that one out, well, think about it. In a few years we will have a lot of mentally ill, damaged young people, all to keep the wierdos happy
Reply:So sad but unfortunately nowadays true. I have a friend who is proud that her daughter is %26#039;streetwise%26#039; at 9! I sent Valentine cards to both my children secretly for years so they would not feel left out in any way but they were a lot older than 11.

How much money is a good tip amount?
Either in a restaurant or delivery? Should I tip for all deliverys like flowers and what about hairdressers do you tip them to?
How much money is a good tip amount?
20 per cent
Reply:it depends on who is serving u because if they are good they would get at least 5.00 dollars
Reply:10% is minimum, 15% for good service. 20% for excellent service. NEVER stiff the wait staff!
Reply:a restaurant tip is should be 15%-20% of your total bill.. A hairdresser tip should be around $5 maybe more depending on what u had done
Reply:Depends on the service...
* Really crappy service that makes you wanna throw tables around...no tip
* Regular crappy service that makes you wonder if the waiter was rolling a joint before he delivered your food...5% tip
* Ok service that is somewhat satisfactory but still leaves room to be desired...10% tip
* Great service that makes you wanna ask the waiter out...15% tip
* Best service ever that makes you wish you were the waiter...20% tip
(I%26#039;m bored)

delivery food 10% $20 for a pizza $2 tip- if I order $50 and get 5 pizzas I%26#039;d give a $5
Hairdressers yes you tip- depending on the job they did I just give about 15%
Tattoo artist- tip
Don%26#039;t tip Starbucks or coffee baristias. Its stupid. Don%26#039;t tip fast food or sandwich shops that have tip jars out. We can%26#039;t encourage this. $5+ is more than enough for coffee
Reply:Tips are a sham. It%26#039;s almost expected now. These waitstaff come from a generation of crybabies with a sense of entitlement. A lot provide poor service and a $hitty attitude and expect a big tip. Those ones, I stiff. No tip. Tips are for exemplary service. To reward poor service is absurd. Remember, tips are for excellent service, not mediocre service. If the server does a poor job, you should not feel guilt tripped into leaving a small tip, you should leave nothing. If they do a good job you can leave a tip, say 15 percent. That%26#039;s really optional. A good job is not an excellent job. An excellent job warrants a 20+ percent tip. Be generous to those that deserve it.

hair dresser, just did that today! i tipped well over 20% cause the lady did a fantastic job! Normally , like the last time, i tipped nothing cause she screwed my hair up(different chick)
normally, just 15-18% for hair dressers, I don%26#039;t give shampooers tips cause the place i go to doesn%26#039;t allow it.
Reply:I am so sick of people saying %26quot;why tip? they get paychecks%26quot;. Do you realize your waiter or waitress makes about 2 bucks an hour? Tipping really depends on service. I%26#039;d say 20% minimum unless your server did a truly crappy job. Just remember, he or she is taxed on what you SHOULD have left whether you leave anything or not. Plus, if you%26#039;re a regular at that restaurant you may get some unpleasant seasonings at your next visit for under tipping.

Reply:Why tip? these people get paid so why should we have to tip them on the top? I don%26#039;t get tips as a nurse so ...
Reply:I am more critical of waitstaff in restaurants having been a waitress myself. I leave 20% usually, but a poor server will get 10% or less from me. I have gave up to 40% for a few exceptional waitstaff that went way beyond their duty to keep me happy. I give a hairdresser 15 to 20 % depending on how I look at the end of the cut.
Reply:you should leave a tip around 15%. if they worked well and were nice, 15 is sufficient but 20 is more appreciated. as for other services like florists and stuff, id only tip them if they were really nice. the only person i tip other than food is when i get my hair cut.
calculating 15% is alot easier than you think. just take the number (lets say 35?$) and move the decimal over one space to the left. we now have 3.5$. now take that amount and divide it in half. 1.75$. add those numbers together.
a tip for a 35$ dinner should be about 5.25$. maybe 6 if you had a good waiter.
hope this helped.
remember though, tips arent required, especially to asshole servers.
Reply:I tip delivery $1-2.
I tip restaurants $5-10 depending on the cost.
I don%26#039;t believe in a certain percentage for tips and it also depends on the service in a restaurant. However, no matter what I will always tip a waiter/waitress.

These days, we%26#039;re expected to tip EVERYONE.

I need a really special favour ??????
A close friend was in an accident recently and is in hospital!
What type of flowers should I arrange for this person......
Special delivery....or Hand delivered?
I need a really special favour ??????
Definitely hand delivered an NO Star Gazer lillies. They smell awful and stuff people up. Something bright and cheery that will last and probably nothing too fragrant because of the person being in recovery. Carnations. Daisies. Tulips. If you can get the latter two. Where I work you can get bouquets of carnations dyed funky colors with glitter on them. I doubt there is a Meijer near you since you spelled it %26quot;favour%26quot; and not the traditional American %26quot;favor%26quot;. Good luck!
Reply:Hand delivered if you think they are up for company, if not, have them specially delivered.
Can%26#039;t go wrong with roses or carnations.
Reply:nice hat dude.
Reply:roses..hand delivered
Reply:Roses %26amp; some balloons, you should hand deliver to show that you really care.
Reply:hand deliver wild flowers they are so pretty.
Reply:hand delivered of course and a hge card signe by lots of ppl and a big tedy bear.one of those %26#039;me to u ones%26#039;
Reply:By all means, hand deliver something pretty.
Reply:carnations or roses.

What can I do for my mom for her birthday tomorrow?
Its my moms birthday tomorrow and I need a good idea for her. We dont live together, shes turning 51. I was thinking of having flowers delivered to her work? What other fun delivery things are out there? An ideas?
What can I do for my mom for her birthday tomorrow?
Send her one of those fruit basket things where they cute the fruit into flowers... Have it sent to work she%26#039;ll love it!
Reply:Well, I%26#039;m not the type of person that send things to a mom. I would do this, call her, have a surprise party, and give her a great gift.
Reply:make her a cake....flowers are good too
Reply:bake her a cake if yu have time...else flowers sound great!!!
Maybe you could give her a surprise at her work ..tell her colleagues thatyou plan to throw a secret party post work ..arrange flowers.. cake .. at a coffeee shop ... or even the cafeteria at the work place and ...just surprise her!!!!
Reply:give her something she likes like flowers or something she likes to eat and give her a gift card to somewhere like a resturant
Reply:flowers to work would be great- she could show off to all her coworkers....maybe some balloons too!
Reply:If it has to be something delivered I%26#039;d deliver the flowers along with a picnic lunch to her myself. Another good idea is to give her a worry free day.....offer to cook her supper and clean her house or take her vehicle to be washed and vacuumed....give her a certificate for a massage...things aren%26#039;t always the best gift...sometimes an offer for services is appreciated much more...
Reply:get a really cool cake , like a really nice one from a proper place with lovelry twirly icing and her name on
Reply:Balloons are special. How about making arrangements for her to get her hair done or get a pedicure. Even if she has never had one she would like it trust me. How about getting her that books she won%26#039;t splurge on but wants to read and throw in some special coffee or tea to enjoy along with the book How far do you live from her? If you are pretty close show up at her job and take her our to lunch or take a cake for her to share at work. How about a ten min. office massage. We use to get those at my office and wow were they nice. What is your price limit. A singing messenger is fun. Most important show all her co-workers how much you love her. They will remember it as will your mom forever.......Tell her happy 51 and good luck to you. We wall want children like you......
